BSR Co-founder Jeff Strong Demonstrates How He Changes the Brain and Behavior with Drums

In his book, Different Drummer: One Man’s Music and Its Impact on ADD, Anxiety and Autism, BSR co-founder Jeff Strong mentions many of the rhythms he uses as the basis of Rhythmic Entrainment Intervention (REI).

In this, Jeff video dissects one REI rhythm to demonstrate the process he goes through to determine the best rhythm to use in a given situation. This rhythm, in the time signature of 21/16 and used to reduce a hand-flapping behavior, also shows you the intricacy of the patterns used to influence the brain and behavior.
